For Women turning 50, getting in shape can feel more challenging. There are some easy effective ways to stay fit after age 50 easy. These few simple tips can help you get fit at age 50 and beyond.

Regular physical activity can improve physiological, mental, social and emotional well being. A woman body start changing in her 40s, due to hormonal changes . Weight gain,  strength, emotional upheavals, loss of bone density and change in sleep cycle are the natural fallouts.

Before start exercise, check with your doctor, specifically if u have any health issues heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes.

Lift weight

Weight lifting may be single best way for older women to maintain overall fitness. Building strength with weight training is possible at any age. You can start weight training three times in a week and other 3 days add cardio, core exercise and rest for one day.

Walk regular

You can walk anytime and anywhere. Start with 15 min to 20 min walk daily and increase frequency. Try to walk after every meal. 

Perform core exercise 

By performing these exercise you keep your spine functioning perfectly and your muscles strong. Do core exercise ones in a week to retain your stamina.

Adequate stretching 

Stretching your body for 15 min after your workout can help ease into an exercise regime, minimising the risk of injury. Stretching is beneficial workout. Sometimes, with maturing age and lack of exercise you are prone to falls and injury, therefore stretching is must.

Eat enough protein 

Protein is the major bulking part of the body, most of the women not takin protein in their diet and loss muscle mass. Source of protein is meat, fish, eggs, beans, yogurt, milk, fruits and nuts.

Fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables. Other half with whole grain and lean protein.
